Properties and Applications:
Applying aluminate Cement to building chemistry, is first to accelerate setting and hardening time, so as to improve its working efficiency. But in fact, basis for reaction of the main components of aluminate cement is between calcium aluminate, calcium sulfate and calcium hydroxide or calcium deoxide from the calcium silicate cement, the product from such reaction is a kind of ettringite which contains a large amount of mineral combined with water (contains 32 H2O). Through quick forming of this mineral, the hardened body will have very low retained water in a short period. Thus can reduce water evaporation of the hardened body and avoid big shrinkage.
Utilizing such properties of mixing aluminate cement with silicate cement, variety of commodity modars are widely produced, such as: ceramic tile adhesives, ceramic tile with daub, self-leveiing floor materials, sealing materials, waterstopper, quick stiff mortar, repair mortar, binding mortar and pouring mortar.
